Jay Duplass began his career in the early 2000’s writing, directing and producing several award winning independent and studio films with his brother Mark, including THE PUFFY CHAIR and CYRUS. In 2014, Jay and Mark created the critically acclaimed television series, TOGETHERNESS, inking a television deal with HBO, where they’ve since produced shows like SOMEBODY SOMEWHERE, THE LADY AND THE DALE and ROOM 104. The brothers also produced the Emmy winning Netflix docu-series WILD WILD COUNTRY.
Jay began acting in 2012 when Joey Soloway cast him in their Amazon TV series, TRANSPARENT, which won a Golden Globe for best comedy series, multiple Emmys, and earned Jay a Critic’s Choice Award nomination. He has also starred in shows like FX’s DYING FOR SEX, HBO’s INDUSTRY, Netflix’s THE CHAIR, Disney’s PERCY JACKSON, and in feature films like OUTSIDE IN with Edie Falco, and BEATRIZ AT DINNER with Salma Hayek.
For the first time in 14 years, Jay has returned to his roots of writing and directing films with the premiere of THE BALTIMORONS at SXSW 2025, which won the audience award. His latest film, SEE YOU WHEN I SEE YOU, is currently in post-production.
Michael Strassner was born in Baltimore Maryland. He is an actor, writer, director and producer known for The Baltimorons, which he Co-Wrote with Jay Duplass and is the lead of. He also has appeared in Young Rock, Modern Family, and English Teacher. His first role was Snoopy in You're a good man, Charlie Brown in seventh grade and hasn't looked back since.
Liz Larsen is a Tony Nominee for her performance in Broadway's The Most Happy Fella. She starred in the world premiere of TRANSPARENT The Musical as the fabulous matriarch ’Shelly Pfefferman’ at The Mark Taper in Los Angeles. Recently she was seen playing Sarah Silverman's 'Nana' in the pre-broadway run of The Bedwetter musical at DC's Arena Stage.
